WSDC

World Swing Dance Council (WSDC) — это организация, которая централизованно ведёт историю конкурсных успехов танцоров WCS

Когда и где?

Ближайшие ивенты с рейтинговыми конкурсами WSDC неподалёку — в нашем календаре ивентов

Дивизионы (Divisions)

WSDC централизованно отслеживает успехи танцоров и делит их по мастерству на дивизионы. Для этого в рамках специально отмеченных как WSDC Registry Event ивентов проводятся рейтинговые Jack and Jill конкурсы, отдельно для каждого дивизиона:

  • Newcomer
  • Novice
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced
  • All-Star
  • Champions

Чтобы поучаствовать в конкурсе соответствующего уровня, надо либо удовлетворять WSDC требованиям, либо получить согласие от главного судьи через петицию.

Поинты (Points)

Если выйдешь в финал — есть шанс получить поинты, набираешь необходимое кол-во поинтов — переходишь в следующий дивизион.

Правила перехода между дивизионами

Newcomer Можно начать с Novice, но лучше свериться с правилами ивента. Зависит от правил ивента, обычно если есть любые поинты Пожизненно

Тиры (Tiers)

Тир (транскрипция с англ. Tier) конкурса для конкретной роли (партнёр/партнёрша) определяет, сколько поинтов ты получишь, если займёшь определённое место в финале. Важно, что тир считается для партнёров и партнёрш отдельно, и возможен вариант, когда у партнёров один тир, а у партнёрш в том же конкурсе — другой, просто потому, что партнёрш было больше.

Пример: сколько поинтов получит партнёр, занявший первое место в Novice J&J на последнем Westie Fest 2020?

Открываем регистрации, видим 23 партнёра, это Тир 3, поэтому ответ: 10 поинтов.

Этапы отборов (Rounds)

WSDC в том числе регламентирует, сколько промежуточных этапов должно быть для конкурса, в зависимости от максимального тира для партнёров и партнёрш.

1 5-10 Только финалы. Возможны отборы, если разное количество партнёров/партнёрш
2 11-19 1+ этап: финал или отборы+финал
3 20-39 2 этапа: отборы и финал
4 40-79 3 этапа: отборы, полуфинал и финал
5 80-129 3+ этапов: отборы, полуфинал и финал
6 130+ 4 этапа: отборы, четвертьфиналы, полуфиналы и финал

Пример: возьмём тот же Novice J&J на Westie Fest 2020. Как должен был проведён этот конкурс? Открываем регистрации, видим 23 партнёра и 42 партнёрши, этапы определяются по бо́льшему кол-ву участников, т.е. по партнёршам, итого 4 тир, обязательно 3 этапа: отборы, полуфиналы и финал.

Критерии WSDC судейства

На текущий момент нет абсолютной шкалы для оценки, да и сама система конкурса выбирает лучших среди имеющихся участников.

Конкретные критерии судейства главный судья обговаривает со всеми судьями перед конкурсом.
